For better understanding of woven label cutting and folding machines. this time let’s talk about the different types of woven labels.
first is the most common type of woven material, called damask. damask has a high thread count and offers a soft feel and a really detailed image. that’s why it’s the most popular type. normally damask has either 50 denier or in a hundred denier.
the second type of material is satin.now everyone’s heard of satin and as you can see it has a shinier appearance.the thread count isn’t as high as the damask. but if you’re looking for a label to reflect the light. then satin is the best option for that.
the 3rd type is called taffeta. this material is a little more rigid than the other 2. it’s very durable and it’s best suited for outdoor use or for use when the label won’t be against the body. it has a medium thread count and has a less shiny appearance.
the last type of material is cotton. cotton is a natural fiber and in its regular state, is an off white color like you see normal. cotton is really soft and comfortable next to the skin and it has a medium thread count and does not have a shine to it.
here are some other options for woven labels treatment.
1. flat cutting
we can use model YS-4300, automatic label cutting machine to do flat piece cutting. cutting method is hot cut for polyester labels and cold blade cut for cotton labels. machine has automatic stacking.
for printed labels, we suggest YS-6300, ultrasonic label cutting machine.
2. center folding or looped
We can use YS-3200 for standard label or YS-4200 for wider label cutting.
for printed label, we suggest YS-6100 or YS-6200, ultrasonic cutting and centre folding machine.
3. end folding
We suggest YS-3100 or YS-4100 (wider) label cutting and end folding machine.
4. miter folding
If we need all types folding, end/centre and mitre, we shall use multi function label cutting and folding machine, YS-3000, YS-4000(wider label) or YS-5000 (ultrasonic cutting and folding machine).
